Do you know who the coolest people in L.A. are?

The people at Act One, of course! I'm in the writing program this summer and I can't believe how utterly, amazingly, fascinatingly cool the people are. The instructors, the people who run things, my fellow students: all awesome. I'm wondering who let the bum (me) in here, frankly, because I don't deserve to be with such talented people. So if I'm not writing a lot for the next few weeks, it's because I'm hanging out with all these awesome Act One people and having the best time of my life.

You're in Act One this year? That's amazing!

My dad (Jim Bell) actually teaches a dialogue class there. I'm tempted to pop in and say hello to you and a couple other pals (I have a friend from school who's there right now). Do you still see Barbara hanging around the premises?

BTW, I'm really bummed about missing your NYC blog-a-thon. I was forced to take a vacation from technology the week of the 'thon. Interesting articles, though. Loved your piece on New York actualities.

Dude, your dad is Jim Bell?! That's crazy! You should totally drop by and say hello! (who's your friend in the program?) Barbara is fracking amazing, she's already spoken twice and was incredible both times. I can't believe I'm actually here listening to all these great people. I'm not worthy!

The New York blog-a-thon didn't work out quite as I had planned; I still have several articles I'm planning to write, so New York blog-a-thon 2.0 will happen sometime in the near future. ;) But the people who did contribute did amazing work, which is awesome.
